Planning Unit: Carroll County CES

Major Program: Active Living and Health Promotions General

Plan of Work: Improving Mental Health

Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

As Covid-19 entered the fall months and Extension planned on ways to encourage their supporters and the Homemaker organization, the Family and Consumer Sciences Agent worked on a plan to reach the local homemaker group and encourage new membership. As the state Kentucky Extension Homemakers Week approached, activities were planned to encourage membership.

Since the group could not meet face to face because of the pandemic, grab and go bags were assembled for them to pick up at the Extension office and enjoy. Bags included wreath making, gourd painting, a Fall Tea Party kit, Plate It Up recipes, and encouraged volunteering and doing random acts of kindness.

Several new members joined that had never been to any Extension activities before.
