During COVID19 the Edmonson County SNAP-Ed Assistant utilized virtual resources as a way to reach limited resource audiences in Edmonson County. With the utilization of Facebook the Snap-Ed Assistant was able to reach audiences that they were not able to reach via in person programming. With the use of Facebook posts on the Facebook Page Edmonson County NEP they were able to reach a larger number of Edmonson County residents including many families, single parents, children, teens, and adults. Since March 2020 the Edmonson County Snap-Ed Assistant has reached over 1500 residents in Edmonson County via Facebook. This is an eighty-five percent increase as to the prior program impact year. These Facebook posts have targeted COVID 19 resources, food insecurity, food management, money management, diet quality and recipes as a target of information.
