Following the lesson, there was a 100% increase in knowledge pertaining to understanding the benefits phytonutrients have in negating the detrimental effects of environmental pollution. Furthermore, there was a 100% increase among participants pertaining to their willingness to consume more fruits and vegetables in order to increase their phytonutrient intake. Since completing this lesson, participants have been referred to more Body Balance sessions to help support their healthy behavior changes and increase in nutrition knowledge.
