2020 has been a challenging year. COVID-19 virus has changed the way the world operates. Having in person nutrition classes for the SNAP-Ed Assistant in Knott County had to come to a halt in early 2020.
The assistant had to come up with new ways to communicate with clients. Doing zoom classes is one way to reach out and still be in contact with them.
Hickory Hill is an all mens rehab facility in the county. Doing zoom with them keeps the interaction with them going. The guys love taking a break from the rehab world to learn about ways to help their addicted body recover nutritionally. The assistant is participating in a new pilot program about nutrition and the recovering addict body and hopes to get good results from the program.
