The Lebanon, KY Farmers Market is located in the heart of Central KY. The market has had on average 5 steady vendors for the last few years and has done well considering the low vendor turn out. This year the market has turned over a new leaf with both the amount of active vendors and increasing customer base. The COVID-19 Pandemic has helped sales tremendously at the market. Although that is not the only factor increasing sales. New and improved marketing at given the market a huge boost as well. Since several media outlets and the use of photography changed the way customers learn about the market. Each week there are numerous post with pictures included of what customers can find at the market. A new wider a variety of products can also be attributed to increased sales. New products such as CBD products and flowers can be found weekly at the market. Vendors have also been very accommodating to customers, allowing the customers to order from their vehicles if they are concerned about the COVID-19 Pandemic. Vendors have taken extra measures to ensure the safety of themselves and customers as well by wearing mask and maintaining social distance as well as following other guidelines from the local health department. The Lebanon, KY Farmers Market currently has 10 members and continues to grow. The increase in traffic and sales has helped each vendor increase their bottom line and improve the farming economy in Marion Co.
