Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

When we think about estate planning, we most often think of planning for traditional assets like money and property.  In today’s digital world, we also need to have a plan for our digital information. This Family and Consumer Sciences Agent taught the Planning Your Digital Estate program in eight counties.  Participants increased their understanding of the difference between a traditional estate plan and a digital estate plan, created an inventory of their digital assets, and completed their own digital estate plan. 100% of participants reported being surprised at the number of digital assets they have (this number was much higher than they originally thought).  100% reported learning at least one new skill and planning to make at least one change related to their digital estate.  All Extension Homemaker members present shared the information with their fellow club members at their next meeting as well as with others in the community, reaching over 700 individuals.
