Covid 19

“Grab Bag” programs during the Covid 19 became the new way of teaching and reaching our clientele.

The Family & Consumer Science Agent, Nutrition Education Program Assistant, and the 4-H Youth Development Agent, partnered to provide 100-110 garden kits that included several SNAP recipes, Plate It Up recipes and material along with excepts from ID 128 as well as information on other publications about gardening. Teaching others were their food comes from, how to grow, and then prepare enables them to have access to healthier foods.

Other Grab and Go Bags water fun, family Olympics.

Cane Pole fishing kit (54) including cane, line, floaters, hooks, stringer etc. Included SNAP recipes for fish and other Plate it up type giveaways.

Stress Management, sun and water safety, grilling and food safety.

While these grab bags aren’t as involved as our usual project groups or day camps, we have kept in touch with our clientele, added new clientele  and helped them to have some new experiences
