As many did when we had to adjust to delivering programmatic information to our clientele in ways I had not used, or rarely used before. For me this was Facebook and You Tube. I found this to be a very effective way to reach many folks, many of whom had never been Extension users in the past, The major efforts that gained the most contacts and also gave me feedback was on the increased interest in local custom meat. I did a short group of posts on how to buy custom beef from the farmer, how to have realistic expectations of what you will recieve when you get the meat back from the processor and how to tell the processor how you wanted the carcass portioned out. I also started doing videos on various weeds, including information of their growth habits and how to control them. These were posted on Facebook and YouTube. I also posted many, many articles from the FCS group on personal safety, food safety, etc. in the absence of an FCS agent. We reached many thousands of people using these social media avenues.
