Service to Green Industry Professionals during Pandemic
William M. Fountain
Life goes on and careers develop even during times of a pandemic. This is the situation with arborists who need to obtain their International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Arborist Certification® credential.
Practicing appropriate social distancing as outlined by the Governor of Kentucky and University of Kentucky, I held a two-day ISA Certified Arborist® preparation course for nine people (the instructor was the 10th individual) prior to the administration of the exam. The 10 domains covered on the exam were reviewed in preparation for these individuals sitting for the exam. This course was offered by the Kentucky Arborists’ Association (KAA, a.k.a. Kentucky chapter of ISA) to KAA members at a financial lost as a member service. Results of the exam are pending.
