Plan of Work: Developing Leadership, Life Skills and Social Responsibility

Outcome: Initial Outcome

The Clinton County 4-H Adventure club is a club that is designed for High School Students at the Clinton County High School.  4-H gets left behind at the High School level unless you are a 4-H camp teen leader.  Since the inception of our 4-H Adventure club we have seen a rise of high school students that want to be involved in 4-H activities.  We feel it to be a valuable part of positive youth development for 4-Hers to be well rounded in several activities.  There a total of 58 Students involved in our   4-H Adventure Club this past school year.  This number was up almost 20 students from last school year.  This past year we traveled to London Kentucky for a fun filled day of climbing the trees and repeling from the tree tops.  Students over came fears of heights and several had never been in a harness or repelled.  The students had a good tiime learning safely and many stted that they had fun and would return for another day of fun at the Tree Top Adventures.  It was good to see 4-Hers helping 4Hers and being leaders to others that were not advanced in climbing.  The leadership, encouragement and paitence displayed by these kids was amazing.  Seeing 4-Hers grow in a healthy Club enviornment is awesome and makes for a good day at the office or in the tree shall I say.  I am proud to have a relationship with our school district that allows us to bring 4-H Clubs to our High School Students.
