Planning Unit: Casey County CES
Major Program: Real Skills for Everyday Life
Plan of Work: Enhancing Personal Development through Leadership and Healthy Life Skills and Practices
Outcome: Long-Term Outcome
With school and classroom structures changing, most high school students are not participating in classes pertaining to home economics, food preparation, budgeting or other life skills classes. Today’s young adults are entering the work force and the real world with limited education on vital everyday skills.
Casey County Cooperative Extension Service, in partnership with the Casey County Public Library, Campbellsville University – Liberty, and community members, created a six-plus series focusing on skills deemed (per educators & community members) necessary for high school students and young adults (in college or entering the workforce).
Individual series include instructors from various businesses and community organizations providing their expertise in regards to the subject matter.
