Marketing family and consumer sciences programs is required to maintain our respected presence in communities. Utilizing various forms of social media has allowed us to market our programs to a broad and diverse audience. This year, in addition to the Family and Consumer Sciences Extension Facebook page and the Talking FACS podcast, we also have added an FCS Instagram account and we marietthrought the social media accounts for the Plate it up! Kentucky Proud project. Additionally, Family and Consumer Sciences specialists share monthly programming on WTVQ. Finally, FCS content has been shared through the UK NOW communications network several times throughout the year.
Through all these various forms of communication, FCS content was seen by nearly a million people during this fiscal year. In addition to the marketing efforts of the state FCS program, FCS content is also being shared on a regular basis through county office pages. The more impressions that our content can make, the more likely that our information will be exchanged in a meaningful way for the people of Kentucky.
