The County Agriculture Investment Program (CAIP) continues to be a great program for the people of Jackson County. As of July 1st, for the 2018-2019 program, 140 producers were approved for $1440.00 each. Of the 140 producers, $201,189 has been spent on Agriculture improvement projects in Jackson County and were reimbursed for $76,009 through the CAIP program. The Agriculture agent has worked closely with the Agriculture development council and the CAIP program administrator to help producers follow guidelines for eligible projects and ensure a smooth-running program. The Agriculture Agent has also worked with producers to conduct site visits on projects that were selected to be checked.
