The families of Mercer County are facing many challenges and in response to those needs the Extension Agent for Family and Consumer Sciences collaborated with many local organizations to offer the following programming:
Mercer Day Treatment - choices classes utilizing the Relationships Smarts Plus 3.0 curriculum
Prevent Child Abuse - large family event focused on providing resources to prevent and educate about childhood abuse
Foster Care Event - family event focused on providing information about Mercer children in Foster Care, the need for Foster Families and connecting interested families with Foster Care organizations.
Nurturing Parenting - six 13-session series were held with ## graduating including one men's only Nurturing Fathers program
