One of the largest years in number of cattle consigned to the Pasture-to-Plate Beef Retained Ownership Program conducted in cooperation with Iowa State University and the Tri-County Steer Carcass Futurity Coop.  Loads shipped in July, November, December, January, March, and June.  506 head shipped from producers in Hardin, LaRue, Grayson, and Barren Counties.  Four new consignors.  Feedlot tour conducted for interested consignors in December.  UK Specialist participated in tour, impressed with what he experienced; met with IRM team and submitted a grant to GOAP which was funded that cost-shares with new producers that want to participate in Pasture-to-Plate.  Already have one load scheduled for August 2019 out of the Owensboro area.  Grayson County Cattlemen's Association requested a presentation on the Beef Retained Ownership Program for their May 2019 Meeting that was conducted the agent and one local consignor.  One new consignor as a result of that meeting on the June load.
