Outcome: Initial Outcome

The Boyle County Extension Horticulture program continues strong support for consumer horticulture programs and information in response to direct consumer demand. Numerous education activities, including classroom style presentations as well as hands on demonstrations, were presented to over 200 local residents this year. Focus areas included areas related to local food systems, natural resources, improving the local environment and personal food production.  Over 25 farm and site visits occured and more than 500 phone calls were directly answered on an individual basis. Common issues addressed included plant insect and disease identification, home vegetable production and home chemical management.
