The Agriculture Career Exploration program was created through a partnership of the local Extension Horticulture Program, the Ed Davis Youth Center, and the Scott County Public Schools Migrant education Program.  The growth and success of the Farm Camp where minority urban and suburban youth far removed from rural environments and farming experienced agriculture. The ACE program provided opportunities for a group of youth, ages 14 to 18 to tour horticultural/agricultural facilities such as the UK Plant Pathology and Greenhouses, Elmwood Stock Farm, Bi-Water Greenhouses and Farm Stand, Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Pfeiffer State Fish Hatchery, the Thoroughbred Training Center, and the North American Racing Academy of youth were exposed to the science, professionals and entrepreneurs in different fields.  
A translator was provided for Hispanic youth attending with limited English. In a round table discussion, one hundred percent of students agreed the program helped to open their view of what careers are available to them, eighty percent revealed they had learned more about the importance of higher education. Lastly, twenty-five percent said they saw careers pathways they would like to explore.
