The Pulaski County 4-H Teen Council currently has six incredibly active members that are truly dedicated to service and leadership. One of the service projects that they have completed was a book drive, they collected over 600 books to be donated to Lexington Friends of the Library group to be given to children with limited access to books. They have also began plans to create small lending libraries that would be stationed at a local church that a homeschool co-op uses weekly for classes. Four of the county members are also active on the district teen council and make up the community service committee, in their committee they plan service projects for the district teen council to complete during their meetings.

Aside from service learning the Teen Council is also very engaged in leadership in the community. Two of the council members were placed on the State Teen Council this year and have been wonderful about bringing back what they have learned to the county council. They assessed during our cattlemen’s field day by putting on games and activities for the children of attendees. They have helped fellow council members learn parliamentary procedure, and have helped with cloverbud programs.

The Pulaski Teen Council is made up of some of the most dedicated and generous students from the county. They are always willing to help others and teach new skills. To see a desire to serve other in a group of young adults makes the future brighter.
