Carlisle County 4-H'ers showed off at this year's county and state fairs. The fair gives 4-H'ers the opportunity to showcase all the hard work they have completed in 4-H all year long in the seven curriculum areas of 4-H programming: Health, Family & Consumer Sciences, Leadership, Communication & Expressive Arts, Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Science, Engineering, & Technology. It also gives the public a chance to see what 4-H is all about as they attend other events.
This year, Carlisle County 4-H'ers turned in 144 exhibits to the county rally day, 164 exhibits to the county fair, and 43 exhibits to the state fair, showing off a year's worth of hard work in 4-H projects. Four six-hour summer project days and multiple project groups were held throughout the year Exhibits included crops, horticulture, foods, sewing, arts & crafts, home environment, and more. Fair results were published in the Carlisle County News to recognize this year's winners and participants.
