Plan of Work: Developing Leadership in Our Teens To Lead Tomorrow

Since its formation in 2013-2014 program year, The Bath County 4-H Teen Council has made a lasting impression on Bath County 4-H. The core goals of this council was develop leadership skills, allow this teen group to have a say in county programming, and community service. Since 2014, over 30 high school seniors have graduated from this council. Over the years, this council has been the primary source for various camp teen leadership opportunities and feedback for camp recruitment, classes, fundraiser assistance, etc. Community Service projects have included visits to local nursing homes, fundraisers, talent performances for county events, etc. Youth verbal reports have been, "this council allows me to share my views and talents, like no other school group." "I look forward to our 4-H Teen Council Meetings because I know we are going to be working on some fun soon." "Being part of 4-H activities have helped me to make the decision of being a school teacher."
