The local senior center made the program available to their members on a weekly basis and the local Parenting workgroup incorporated the nutrition program to the series of parenting lessons. A total of 65 participants enrolled between both programs and 57 completed the seven lessons. The lessons topics range from learning about My Plate, Breakfast, Knowing the Limits, Reading Labels, Budgeting, Planning and Food Safety. The Nutrition Education Program Assistant provided the participants the opportunity to prepare several recipes during class and taste them. Participants have incorporated several of the new recipes learned and reported that family members have enjoyed them too. 91.2% of the graduates showed a positive change in any food group after completing the program.
