At the end of each month, a Nursery Extension Bulletin is sent out to a growing list of growers, nursery workers and Extension personnel. These bulletins include articles using full color imagery provided by major units housed at the University of Kentucky associated with nursery crop production including plant pathology, entomology, Extension horticulture, AgWeather, and the Kentucky Office of the State Entomologist. The monthly collection of articles provides a comprehensive guide for current science-based research and field observations to assist industry stakeholders with their operational management decisions, using topics chosen to coincide with issues they are facing in the field in the coming weeks. Since Josh Knight took over editing and distribution responsibilities in 2015, over 40 newsletters have been sent out and the number of direct subscribers has increased from ~97 to 179. It is now also configured to be automatically delivered to all horticulture agents in the state (~33).
