A teen 4-Her made a pledge to herself and others to become a 4-H Summer Camp Staff member one day. In May 2018, Kachine Evans did just that. Kachine has been a participant of Summer Camp as a camper and teen leader, for 10 years. As soon, Kachine became 18 years old, she applied for a position at North Central 4-H Camp and was successful. She contributes her years attending camp, building camp relationships, being a member of Bath County Teen Council and Wildcat Leadership Council, and much more for preparing her to conduct interviews, researching, developing communication skills, developing high self esteem and much more. After numerous conversations with her, during the summer, she still feels she made the right choice of applying, her confidence has grown through this experience, and feels she has made contacts that will benefit her for years to come.
