Author: Alyssa Cox

Planning Unit: Rockcastle County CES

Major Program: Camping

Plan of Work: 4H Posters,4H Speeches, 4H Variety Show,4H Awards Banquet, 4H Camp,4H Fair Exhibits, Livestocks club

Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

Rockcastle County 4-H is proud to highlight the outstanding efforts of its dedicated volunteers who helped make this year’s 4-H Camp a memorable success. With one teen counselor and six adult counselors, our team came fully prepared and played a crucial role in ensuring that camp ran smoothly from start to finish.

Each counselor brought their own unique strengths to the table, contributing to the safe, engaging, and fun environment that 4-H Camp is known for. From organizing activities and guiding campers, to providing support during meals, classes, and evening programs, their teamwork and enthusiasm never wavered.

Our teen counselor stepped into a leadership role with confidence, serving as a positive role model for younger campers and showing great responsibility beyond their years. The adult counselors—many of whom have served in this capacity before—demonstrated unwavering dedication and flexibility, stepping in wherever they were needed and going above and beyond to support both Rockcastle County’s 48 campers and 4-H Agent.

Because of their preparation and positive attitudes, the entire camp experience was seamless. Campers were safe, engaged, and encouraged every step of the way. The Rockcastle County 4-H team showed exactly what it means to lead by example and serve with heart.

We are so grateful to these outstanding individuals for their time, energy, and commitment to the 4-H mission. Their service made a lasting impact—and we look forward to many more successful summers to come!
