Teen Leadership Academy "Excellence in Camping Award"

Author: Nolan Pettit

Planning Unit: McLean County CES

Major Program: Leadership

Plan of Work: Unrelated to a specified County Plan of Work

Outcome: Long-Term Outcome

Teen Leadership Academy is a multi-county, cross university program including Mclean, Webster, Henderson, Hopkins, Union, Daviess, and Hancock Counties. Each county is allowed to bring up to 4 of their top teams. We meet once a month and cover several different topics including life & interview skills, traditional 4-H projects, and trips to surrounding businesses and community partners.

The goal of the program is to take our brightest teens and reward them buy having a fun experience where they can learn and then come back and encourage other teens in the program to want to take part the next year.

This past year at KEA4-H Meeting our group was recognized and awarded with the "Excellence in Camping Award"
