4-H Camp 2025

Author: Stefaine Back

Planning Unit: Magoffin County CES

Major Program: Camping

Plan of Work: Developing Life Skills

Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

From June 3–6, 2025, the JM?Feltner 4-H Camp in London, Kentucky brought together over 350 enthusiastic campers!  Magoffin County had 38 youth campers, and three dedicated adult volunteers for an unforgettable experience. With 20% of attendees being first-time campers, the group dove into a variety of activities—casting poles for fishing, tackling high-ropes challenges, competing in lively games, exploring the creative side through arts and crafts, and enjoying classic “Sally” and  team-building exercises. By the end of the session, every single camper had expanded their horizons: 100% made new friends and 100% tried at least one new activity, making this year’s camp a resounding success and a cherished memory for all involved. 85% of campers reported planned attendance for the upcoming year.
