Describe the Issue or Situation.
With many losses affecting migratory beekeepers, the Northern KY Tribune wants to call attention to the importance of the Kentucky state insect, i.e., the honey bee. This article helps educate the general audience about the importance of honey bees.
Describe the Outreach or Educational Program Response (and Partners, if applicable). The Northern Kentucky Tribune is an online newspaper, reaching many of the northern counties. This area represents a unique blend of urban and agricultural area of the state. I don't get invited to this area very much, but as a result of the article, I'm in conversation with several counties to visit later in the year.

Provide a Statement of Outcomes or Program Impact. Please note that the outcomes statement must use evaluation data to describe the change(s) that occurred in individuals, groups, families, businesses, or in the community because of the program/outreach. With online readers, there is no evaluation.
