Grain Production Update

In February, there was a multi-county (Trimble, Henry, Shelby, & Oldham) program held to help grain crop producers. The meeting consisted of six speakers for grain producers to get the most up to date information. The topics covered were Pre Harvest Marketing, Weed Control, Disease Management, and What Drives Corn Yield. The local Farm Service Agency and Natural Resources Conservation offices also attended to give insight to any upcoming programs they will be running.

There were about 15 producers attending the meeting. Of those 15 producers, 100% of them asked that this program be hosted again and that they would recommend this program to another producer. There was feedback given based on the topics, they are as follows: “very good program.” “informative. Well worth the time.” “more time for Carl on diseases.”

This is a program we look to replicate in the future!
