For the first time ever, the Midwest Plan Service MWPS-13 Grain Drying, Handling, and Storage Handbook had an entire chapter dedicated to safety and health.  Safety and health topics included the following as they applied to or affected safety and health: planning; equipment automation and quality; fall protection; grain condition; reclaim systems; entrapment hazards;planning for possible entry; lockout/tagout; lifelines; machinery; maintenance; dust and chemical hazards; safety around the facility; emergencies; and OSHA standards.  The 500-copy press run was sold out by June 2018 and another 500 are being printed, which is very fast for such a publication.
