Outcome: Initial Outcome
The Master Gardeners of Washington County get together to make wreaths at Christmas each year. The 2017 season was a great success as well with the group making and selling 75 wreaths. Each year the group gives scholarships and donates to a worthy cause. This year along with their annual scholarships of $500.00 to a local FFA or 4H'er that is going to major in Agriculture or a related field the group sponsored a local student and funded his attending diabetic camp. This camp is for those children that are diabetic and must have around the clock monitoring. It is fully staffed with a doctor and certified nurses and it costs over $500.00 to attend. To quote the child's mother "Without this generous donation he would have never gotten to experience camp,he needs too much monitoring to attend a regular camp and I thank the Master Gardener's of Washington County for giving my child this wonderful opportunity".
