More than 250 people, male and female, attended the “Holly Jolly” brunch sponsored by the Pulaski County Extension Homemakers. Those in attendance were treated to more than 20 different “holiday recipes” and given instructions on how to prepare the individual recipe for their Christmas event.

Two hundred evaluations were returned with their favorite dish, a Jello recipe that has been passed down from one generation to another. The second favorite dish was a “squash and onion” casserole using squash from local farmers.    Having the event during the day was also a positive time. The only negative comment from the evaluations was the number of people present for the event, and the wait time in line for food.

Those in attendance also got to view how they could decorate their home with beautiful Christmas suggestions from items they have on hand. Decorations included pop-corn strings, candy wreaths, handmade large wreaths with cotton balls, crochet items and other handmade ornaments. Center pieces were made from jars decorated with fresh greenery.
