The Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference is a multi-state leadership conference that was created to bring together youth from across the southern region. (https://4-h.ca.uky.edu/SRTLC

This year the conference had over 400 attendees and through their community service project, were able to create 1000 paper cranes, dog toys and help spruce up the camp!

Trimble County has participated in this conference for over 10 years now.  This year we had a record number of youth participate.  Trimble County took 7 youth to the Clyde York 4-H Educational Center in Crossville Tennessee.  Of those youth, Five of them had been 4-H Camp Teen leaders the past couple of years.  One of the participants, this was their first year in 4-H as a teen leader 2024.  The last participant, this was his first experience with 4-H.   All 7 participants expressed ideas from classes they took while at the conference that they was going to implement back in the county when we returned.

Ultimately, the Southern Region Teen Leadership Conference was designed to give youth a voice, a seat at the table, to help build a meaningful conference.  This conference allows youth and adults from across the southern region to interact and build those strong youth-adult partnerships to promote positive change in the everyday lives of youth.
