Success Story: Holiday Bazaar 2023

Describe the Issue or Situation

The small community of Columbia had been seeking ways to support local artisans and small businesses during the holiday season. With limited opportunities for community members to shop locally and engage in festive activities, there was a clear need for a central event that could bring people together, promote local businesses, and foster a sense of holiday spirit.

Describe the Outreach or Educational Program Response (and Partners, if applicable)

To address this need, the Adair County Homemakers Council organized the 202f Holiday Bazaar. This event aimed to provide local artisans and vendors with a platform to showcase their products while creating a festive shopping experience for residents. The event included outreach efforts such as targeted social media campaigns, print flyers distributed at local schools and libraries, and partnerships with local radio stations for promotional advertising.
