Outcome: Intermediate Outcome
Cloverbuds is an energetic and enthusiastic group of youth, typically aged 5 to 8 years. This vibrant group is full of curiosity and excitement, always eager to learn what the next lesson will be. Each month, they engage in a variety of activities designed to enhance their fine motor skills while also fostering growth in other key areas. These activities aim to improve not only cognitive development but also social, emotional, and physical skills. Cloverbuds provides a fun and nurturing environment where young learners can grow and thrive in all aspects of their development.
Each month, teen volunteers play an essential role in the Cloverbuds program by assisting with the lessons and activities. Their involvement helps guide the younger participants, providing support and encouragement as the youth engage in various activities. The teen volunteers not only help facilitate the learning process, but they also serve as positive role models, fostering a sense of community and teamwork. Their contributions are invaluable in creating a dynamic and supportive environment where the Cloverbuds can thrive and grow.
Each meeting, youth are provided with a healthy snack through the SNAP-Ed program. This initiative helps teach children about the importance of good nutrition while offering a practical opportunity to enjoy healthy foods. The snacks provided are not only nutritious but also aim to introduce the youth to a variety of healthy eating habits, supporting their overall well-being and development. By incorporating healthy snacks into each session, Cloverbuds ensures that participants are nourished and energized for the day’s activities.
Parents have expressed that their children can’t wait for the Cloverbuds meeting each month. The program’s positive impact is evident, with parents noting improvements in various areas of their children's development. Specifically, 10 youth have shown improved decision-making skills, 15 have gained self-confidence, and 18 have developed better fine motor skills. This feedback highlights the meaningful progress and growth that Cloverbuds fosters in young learners.
