Describe the Issue or Situation.

In our small county, we need to continue to develop young leaders for the future

Describe the Outreach or Educational Program Response (and Partners, if applicable).

We partner with local businesses, Chamber of Commerce, school system to recruit participants, secure funds and plan the educational programming for Leadership Ballard

Provide the Number and Description(s) of Participants/Target Audience.

We target the middle school population for applicants. Last years participants were invited to return and new applicants were also accepted.

Provide a Statement of Outcomes or Program Impact. Please note that the outcomes statement must use evaluation data to describe the change(s) that occurred in individuals, groups, families, businesses, or in the community because of the program/outreach.

This group learns about what leadership is, working in groups, situational leadership, team building and more. To date we have received $8,950 of the $10,000 it takes per year for the program including a charter bus trip to Frankfort to meet with legislators, tour and practice manners and etiquette lesson.
