The Hart County Family and Consumer Science Agent partnered with Hart County High School 21st Century program to offer an Alpha-gal information night. We had a guest speaker, Heather Shaw, speak to the community members at Hart County High School. The program was offered to anyone that wanted to attend. People from through out the state attended the session, including Pulaski County, Nelson County, Larue County, Green County and many more areas including Hart County.
At conclusion of the program, 100% of the people interviewed stated that they learned new information about alpha-gal and they want to learn even more. 100% of the individuals stated they learned new ways to prevent further allergic reactions.
