A farmer and his son contacted the Bell County Extension ANR agent about a pond that was 65% covered in aquatic plants. They were looking for a way to rid their pond of the plants.  After visiting their farm and completing a thorough inspection, she identified the plants as Watermeal and Duckweed. To address the issue, she recommended a specific herbicide known for its effectiveness against these types of aquatic nuisance plants. The farmers followed her advice and applied the treatment to the pond. The herbicide worked flawlessly, leading to a 100% success rate in eliminating the Watermeal and Duckweed.
