The problem was the lack of knowledge regarding nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being.
The educational program response was educating four different on nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being.
The participants/target audience was youth of various ages.

Program impact or participant response was presentations on nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being.
Lifeskills Inc., Lincoln Way, Active Day, and Medical Center Adult Day Care all located in Bowling Green, Kentucky allowed the Kentucky State University’s West Regional Center to hold programming classes and events within their businesses. The programs consisted of different presentations, demonstrations and discussion regarding nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being. Lifeskills Inc., Lincoln Way, Active Day, and Medical Center Adult Day Care hosted these events throughout the months July, August, and September of 2024. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, and West Regional Center representative provided information on nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being to 283 individuals. The program captured the individual’s attention.
The materials that Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center presented are as followed:
Make better Meal Choices (informational and descriptive)
Make A Healthy Plate (informational and descriptive form)
- 5 food groups
Choose Sensible Portion Sizes (informational and descriptive form)
-Suggested serving sizes
Hygiene covering the body, hair, hands, feet, and skin.
The materials presented gave insight into habits, choices, and alternatives for dealing with nutrition, hygiene, and basic well-being. Participants were able to ask questions and receive feedback from the representative. The program gave knowledge to participants on maintaining and obtaining healthy choices. The Kentucky State University, Cooperative Extension Service, West Regional Center is looking forward to the next event at Lifeskills Inc., Lincoln Way, Active Day, and Medical Center Adult Day.
