    Food, Friends and Fun

NEP from Garrard County conducted an EFNEP class in Jessamine County at the Housing Authority. There were 10 attendees in this class, we met once every week for 13 weeks. We addressed the problem of food security, as well as encompassing getting a variety of good, healthy foods into our daily diets.

All 10 participants showed improvement in one or more areas of dietary quality at the end of the 13-week class. This is not the only class I have done in this facility, and there will be more classes in the coming years. Participants relay they love the new recipes, and new ways to incorporate healthier foods into the daily diets
