Tammy is a 50+ year old white female, she and her husband live in rural Garrard county Ky. Because they have no children and do extensive volunteer work she did not cook. She and her spouse would eat out every meal every day and had done so for the last 15+ years. Over the course of the 7 week class that the Garrard County NEP Assistant conducted at the Food Pantry, Tammy first lessened her volunteering hours, and began to cook the recipes that we did in the class. So this family changed and she reports that they eat at home with recipes that they got from attending the 7 week class at the Food Pantry. She also comes into the Extension office and request recipes on a regular basis.
