The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Fundraiser has always turned out to be a remarkable success, demonstrating the community's support. The Ghost Walk at Wendover not only raised funds but also highlighted local talent and utilized a unique venue to attract participants. The Annual Silent Auction, held strategically after the busy Parade of Lights, attracted a diverse crowd, and received generous donations from local businesses and residents.
Raising over $5,000 through these efforts is commendable and will significantly benefit the youth by providing opportunities to attend camps, conferences, and other 4-H events. It is also a testament to the hard work and dedication of everyone involved, from the 4-H members and their families to the volunteers and local businesses who contribute their time, resources, and donations. This collective effort not only raises funds but also fosters a sense of unity and empowerment within the community.
In conclusion, as we celebrate this milestone and use it as motivation to continue striving towards greater opportunities and inclusivity for all youth in your community we must keep in mind fundraising for programs like Leslie County 4-H is not just about raising money; it's about instilling important life skills and values in the youth and the community as a whole.
