Great leadership drives great Extension programs.  Extension Council members are trained so they may understand their responsibilities as leaders to help plan, implement, and review educational programs conducted by the Taylor County Cooperative Extension Service.

Local producers are promoted through a Direct Sales Brochure developed by the Extension Council.

The Taylor County Agriculture Advancement Council meets 11 times a year where educational or informational programs are presented.   The Chamber of Commerce Agriculture Person of the Year is selected by this group.

The Taylor County Extension District Board has provided funding for the hiring of a Family and Consumer Science Agent.  Leaders are involved in the screening process for agents.

A local leader is serving as Vice President of the newly formed Kentucky Association of Meat Processors.
