The Warren County Extension Agents for Agriculture and Horticulture have created a WordPress blog called Warren County Agriculture Blog. The blog serves as a virtual community hub, connecting Kentucky residents and an international audience with a shared interest in farming and gardening. Both agents contribute to the blog by creating articles or using Agent Exclusives and other information from the University of Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. The goal is to publish content twice a month, fostering a sense of connection and engagement among our readers.

The blog is a rich source of knowledge, covering timely tips for the farm and garden, educational videos from the Warren County Agriculture YouTube Channel, seasonal recipes, and the Sunshine Gardening Podcast episodes and show notes. Since its inception in 2015, the blog has been a platform for learning and knowledge sharing and has seen tremendous growth in viewership. In 2020, it received 4,799 yearly views, which doubled to 8,091 views in 2021 after adding the Sunshine Gardening Podcast show notes. By the end of 2022, the blog reported 8,484 views, which further grew to 10,752 views in 2023. The Warren County Agriculture Blog has 47,267 all-time views, with 38,447 total visitors.

The blog has 44 subscribers and is accessible to an international audience in countries such as the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and others. The agents constantly monitor the blog to see which topics and articles are getting the most views so that they can plan future content accordingly.

In 2024, the Warren County Agriculture Blog was the state winner in the communication award entries for the website and online content category during the Kentucky Association of County Agriculture Agents (KACAA) state meeting. This recognition is a testament to the blog's success and the active participation of our readers. To access the Warren County Agriculture Blog, please visit https://warrencountyagriculture.com/. The blog's website also provides information about following their other social media networks, which is a great way to stay up-to-date and engage with the community.
