The problem
Post Covid has been challenging when it comes to vaccines. Issues or problems related to vaccines can vary. Common concerns and challenges associated with vaccines are vaccine hesitancy, safety concerns, misinformation, logistical challenges, vaccine equity, vaccine development, anti-vaccine movements , rare adverse events, and vaccine efficacy. Addressing these issues often requires clear communications of the benefits and risks or vaccines while promoting vaccine education and addressing inequities in access.
The educational program response
We've learned that vaccine pop-up clinics offer several significant benefits , especially in contexts where healthcare accessibility or outreach is challenging. Pop-up clinics are typically located in communities or areas where access to healthcare services might be limited. They bring healthcare closer to people who may not other wise have easy access to medical facilities. These clinics are often set up in convenient locations such as community centers, schools, or places of worship , making it easier for people to seek healthcare without traveling long distances. Pop-up clinics provide flexibility , reduced wait times, promote health and education and builds trust.
The participants/target audience
The audience for the vaccine clinic were local farmers , attendees from small farms conference , KSU faculty and staff and members from the community.
