Outcome: Initial Outcome
Clark County 4-H has historically had a Livestock Skillathon team, but the past several years it has not been active. In 2023 leaders and youth revived the program and worked hard to study and practice in order to participate in the 2024 Skillathon Contest in February. Clark County was represented by a junior team, a senior team, and one female novice participant. The senior team consisted of two female and one male youth, the junior team consisted of three male youth. At the contest our senior team finished 4th in evaluation, and 7th overall. One of our juniors placed 5th overall in evaluation and one of our seniors finished 20th overall senior individual. For the first time this group of youth participated, it was a great year for the Skillathon team participants. The team plans to compete again next year and expand with a separate livestock judging team as well.
