Hickman County is one county that receives very little (less than $5,000/year) Phase I Tobacco Settlement funds that was established by House Bill 611. In 2020 the State Agricultural Development Board voted to give counties who receive very limited Phase I Funds enough money to have $30,000 in their county accounts.
This year, Hickman County Ag Development Board and the Graves County Soil Conservation District administered the CAIP or County Ag Investment Program. The CAIP money spent this year in Hickman County was $39,500 as of 5/31/24. 14 producers applied with 10 receiving funding up to $4000.00/practice/person.
