Outcome: Intermediate Outcome
The problem: Youth making money decisions.
The educational program response; Youth enjoyed role playing in earning, buying and using money for merchandise for their pretend of being on their own.
The participants/target audience: 4th grade
Other partners (if applicable) Youth Service Center Directors, Business teachers from the High School and their students,
Program impact or participant response: The Dollars and Sense Program successfully introduced over 225 - 4th graders to a 1/2 day of real world application of earning and spending their money wisely. Over 90% of the students used their skills to try to spend their money wisely. 100% of the students admitted that it was a hard job to make ends meet with their income and 10% couldn't make it to the end of the month's bills.
