The Nutrition Education Program Senior Assistant was selected to participate in a pilot program “Healthy Holiday Meals on a Thrifty Budget”. The NEP Senior Assistant partnered with Fallsburg Elementary School, Blaine Elementary School, Louisa East/West Elementary School, and Lawrence County Middle & High School Family Resource Youth Service Coordinators (FRYSC) to assist with handouts and delivery of the 100 Thanksgiving Baskets for low-income Lawrence County families.
