Quilts of Valor
Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and other mental health issues are a reality for many veterans. The mission of Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover Service Members and Veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quits of Valor. Volunteers are depended on to make the quilts that are presented to the veterans through the foundation.
The Warren County Homemaker’s Stitchers Club made four quilts to donate to the Quilts of Valor Foundation. Each quilt is worth approximately 900 dollars, totaling 3600 dollars in donations to the Quilts of Valor Foundation. The Warren County Homemaker’s also hosted a Quilts of Valor Celebration on Saturday November 18th at 1:00 pm at the Warren County Cooperation Extension Office where they presented their quilts to four local veterans.
The Warren County Homemaker’s Stitchers Club has already started making more quilts and plans to continue their partnership with the Quilts of Valar Foundation.
