Outcome: Intermediate Outcome

The problem

Need for the Development of a keystone program. 

Program impact or participant response.

The Ag Council determined the need for a County specific program addressing the concerns associated with the long term sustainability of the family farm. The parameters of the meeting established at the Ag Council meeting were as follows: 

- Focus on problems facing all family farms 

- Not commodity specific

-Estate planning 

-Community Focused and interesting

A working group was formed with members from the Ag Council and they developed a program called the "Family Farm Summit". The group established a date, sponsors, speakers from a wide variety of sources, and has begun advertising.
